ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Practices: We do not set practice times or fields for age groups. We encourage all teams to practice one time per week outside of your game times. The scheduled week of May 6th is to give everyone a field for training. This gives you the chance to also partner with another coach on activities. Do not leave until the last player has been picked up and sure you have contact information for all parents.

Training Plans: All coaches have been signed up to receive weekly training plans from YouthSoccer101. If you did not receive an email and need to sign up please visit this link

Rec Coach Contact List:

Team Meeting: Before your hold your first practice, please hold a parent and player "Team Meeting". You can do this at the complex on any field or by the concession stand (although that area does get busy). Here is a sample team meeting agenda.

Fields: All fields (except Field 1) are first come, first serve, however please respect other teams that may have games. Rec Teams are not allowed to practice on Field 1 (turf field) without authorization.

Training Equipment: By the concession stand there are green bins near the south end of the building. In those bins will be pinnies and cones available for training use. Please return these after each practice as we do not enough for 150 teams.

Referees: Respect all referees! We will only have referees at U9-HS age groups. We target to schedule two referees per game but some games may only have one based on availability of refs. Refs will be paid prior to each game at the concession stand. Coaches do not pay referees directly in rec league ever.

Weather: If games are canceled due to weather we will alert all teams via the demosphere app, email, and post on social media. It is our goal to try and make a decision by 3pm about games. Game will be played in rain, but if lightning is spotted, games will immediately be suspended for 30 minutes. We will alert all teams if the delay is temporary or if games are canceled for the night.

Jerseys: Jerseys can be picked up at the Soccer Complex Concession Stand the week of May 6th. New this year, parents will pick up all jerseys and coaches will not distribute them.

Coaches Shirts: All coaches get a free coaches shirt. Those can be picked up at the Fond du Lac Soccer Complex Concession Stand after May 13th. Sizes are not guaranteed and only as supplies last.

Pinnie Rule: At U4-U8 we try to encourage all kids to get the chance to score and not have the game dominated by one or two players. After each goal, the player that scores should be given a pinnie to wear and instructed to pass and they are not allowed to score "back-to-back" goals. One another goal is scored the pinnie will transfer players and the previous player is eligible to score again. Pinnie's can be picked up in the equipment bin by the Concession Stand.

First Aide: The concession stand will be open until 7:45pm each night and will have ice packs and small first aide supplies. If there is an injury more serious, have the parents involved immediately or call 911 if an ambulance is required.

Picture Day: Annually U4-U14 will have team and individual photos taken and then play "Spring Games". Girls teams will be Saturday, June 1st and Boys will be Sunday, June 2nd. Full schedule for pictures by team can be found here
